Our Story

Stola derived from ancient Roman draped robe, is a contemporary Indian brand with effortless draped aesthetics while focusing on original print artworks. We have reimagined the versatile draped dresses that can be worn as comfort fit dresses or teamed with pants for ethnic look. Minimal contemporary styles, bold art inspired prints, bright colors bring out the essence in modern women making them suitable for all events and occasions.

Founded by Richa Chaudhary, alumni of prestigious NIFT, Delhi and Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, Italy. Richa has been creating newer bench marks in fashion since 2011.

Stola is a print pret line started by her. Stola treats each garment like a canvas and recreates the motifs and art works by taking inspiration from Indian paintings, crafts and vivid imagination. To create a piece we explore various techniques like oil pastel rendering, tie dye, water colors. Every Stola piece, tells a story and trascends creative thoughts into the life of the wearer. Each piece is made with great detail by following the design process and western garment construction.

Our Inspiration

We take design inspiration from natural elements of fauna and flora and translate them in artistic style taking inspiration from Indian paintings, craft. Motifs are hand rendered and painted and then converted into digital drawings to create these surreal prints which are embellished with hand embroideries using beads, threads, sequins. We craft and follow detailed design processes to create original artistic motifs, place them on luxurious fabrics, striking a balance between our artistic and practical approach.

Our signature focuses on fluidity over form and tactility over the intangible. Our designs offer a refreshing optimism with their buoyant colors, ultra -soft, silken fabrics and lush prints. All this accompanied by free-flowing, versatile cuts that look leisurely, time-tested craft techniques that are given a fresh spin, and a less is more philosophy that is deep rooted in everything we do. The styles range from dresses to fusion coordinated tunic sets for all tastes.

Above all Stola is a labour of love.

It celebrates women. It breaks all barriers of age, size, shape and generation.

To create relaxed outfits that stay in trend with season, which the customer can style as separates or wear as cohesive ensemble for coordinated look to fit multiple occasions.
